If entering via 550, be aware that the majority of the 16 miles road to the visitor center is unpaved and covered in small ruts, which makes for a VERY bumpy ride. Watch out for free-range livestock.

Accessible only by 20 miles of dirt roads from the north or south. Roads suitable for low-slung autos but not if it has rained/snowed recently.

Pueblo Bonito is the largest of the sites and a must-see. Able to walk around, into and thru it. Do NOT forget your camera!
